We are proud to share former Tuckahoe Village Trustee Clare Gorman's support of Cara and Nicole.

Tuckahoe Friends –

   Everyone recalls how unlucky the Ides of March proved to be for Julius Caesar.

   But here in Tuckahoe, we have good fortune on our side this coming March 15th – with two impressive candidates for Trustee on the ballot who will lead our Village forward. I hope you will join me in casting your votes for Trustee Cara Kronen and Nicole Engelbert.

   When I first took office as a Trustee in 2007, a surge of flooding hit the Village. As we worked to help those affected, it reminded me that the biggest challenges are most often the unexpected ones. In her first nine months as a Trustee, Cara Kronen responded to the latest unexpected challenge, helping to lead the Village out of the pandemic by distributing tests and PPE.

   But the needs of a community aren’t always as obvious as something like flood remediation. Cara, recognizing the need to shake off the isolation brought on by the pandemic, also spearheaded new, family-oriented Village events.

   Nicole, a vice president with Oracle, brings tech experience and a deep concern for historic preservation into her first bid for office. She will be an equally impactful addition to the Board.

   Having lived in Tuckahoe for more than 50 years – in a home my grandfather bought more than a century ago – my love for the Village is no secret. One doesn’t need to live here very long, though, to treasure our community’s rich history and quality of life.

   I’m confident that Cara and Nicole are the capable, empathetic leaders we need to preserve and build on those qualities.
